Löffler’s success story begins with a groundbreaking innovation: In 1978 our company launched transtex®, a textile innovation that still exists more than 40 years later. Since then we have been developing both major innovations and small improvements in our in-house knitting laboratory – with a great deal of creativity to support our customers in living their passion for endurance sports.

A unique technology that processes polypropylene yarn (link to function) with a special knitting technique and thus transports moisture to the outside extremely quickly.  Learn more (Link to transtex®)

With hotBOND® technology, highly elastic materials are ultrasonically spot-welded to form ultra-flat joints. These joints are not only comfortable to wear, but also more tear-resistant and durable than conventional seams. Learn more (Link to hotBOND®)

50 different fabric qualities are knitted per year.

Of these, there are at least 4 new and exclusively developed materials every year featuring in our new collection as textile innovations.

10 percent new articles per season

From the total of 250 articles per season, about 50 pieces are developed from scratch. Valuable know-how from top-class sport as well as the feedback of our customers helps us in this process. A well-balanced mix of novelties and proven articles distinguishes us. This is because a high degree of innovation is not always our top priority – we also attach great importance to the durability of good and proven products in exclusive technologies (such as transtex® or hotBOND).

50,000 knitting needles do a good job

At full capacity, 50,000 knitting needles are in use at the heart of production – at our in-house knitting factory.  On the highly technical machines, each needle can even be controlled individually. This means that different functional zones can be knitted in just one piece.
