Function

Our clothing meets fashion demands, but first and foremost function and support for endurance sports. Different fibres and knitting techniques ensure this, depending on the type of sport and intensity.

transtex®

One of our most important functional materials is transtex®. Its main component is polypropylene (PP) – our most important raw material, with which we have been working as specialists for 40 years. In terms of moisture absorption and sweat transport, polypropylene is the absolute king among textile fibres.

Polypropylene has three major advantages:

1. Material with the lowest moisture absorption

2. Much more odourless than other textile fibres

3. Lightest plastic fibre in the world

56 TONS Polypropylene yarn is processed per year.

The fibre is the absolute king among textile fibres. Virtually no moisture absorption by the fibre as well as the fastest transport of sweat from the skin to the outside are the most striking properties of this high-tech fibre. It is also ultra-light and heat-regulating, abrasion-resistant, easy-care and UV-resistant.

113 Football pitches fabric per year are produced in the house as a whole.

That is 150,765 kg of fabric or 603,060 running metres or around 904,590 m² per year. Calculated per week, we knit functional fabrics the size of 2.5 football pitches.

Layer principle

This is where the layer principle proves its worth.

Baselayer

Moisture is quickly transported from inside to outside (transtex®)

midlayer

Penetration of moisture from outside is prevented

hardshell

Several layers – depending on the temperature – allow a finely tuned temperature regulation
